Postpartum Services

Why Hire A Postpartum Doula:

Ever wish you could clone yourself? Or dream of having someone you trust to care for you and your baby, judgment-free? Feeling like you should have read one more book or taken one more class? Feeling overwhelmed and needing an extra hand? Want to shower or nap without worrying? Concerned about getting a good night’s sleep, establishing a routine, or setting good sleep habits for your baby and yourself? Struggling with feedings, depression, or anxiety? Whatever your needs, hiring a doula can make a world of difference!

Research on postpartum doulas consistently indicates several benefits for families. Studies show that families who receive support from a postpartum doula report higher levels of satisfaction with their birth experience, improved maternal mental health outcomes, increased success with breastfeeding/chestfeeding, reduced postpartum depression rates, and enhanced parental confidence in caring for their newborns. Additionally, having a postpartum doula often leads to smoother transitions into parenthood and more positive family dynamics during the early postpartum period.

My Philosophy:

My objective is to promote happy, healthy, well-bonded families. I believe every family with a new baby deserves additional emotional and physical support during the “fourth trimester.” I assist new parents in interpreting their baby’s cues, offer guidance on newborn care essentials, provide feeding support, and offer daytime and nighttime newborn care to facilitate parental rest. I firmly believe that ensuring parents are well-rested, supported, and cared for is crucial for their emotional well-being, and directly influences the well-being of the newborn, thus fostering a positive bonding process.
